Government to set up engineering consultation company for energy development

Kathmandu / Dec 22: The government has decided to set up power trade company and engineering consultation company for the development of energy sector.
Minister for Energy Janardan Sharma informed that the meeting of the Council of Ministers held Thursday took this decision.
Minister Sharma argued that for lack of engineering consultation within the country, hefty money was being taken by the foreign companies.
He further said as the hydropower sector is very technical one, establishment of the autonomous engineering consultation company was imperative. It would make thorough study on entire technical aspects of the hydropower.
Minister Sharma also informed that the Ministry has forwarded the process to set up the engineering company. RSS
