Paras Khadka felicitated with 1 lakh rupees at Kathmandu Youth Conclave

Kathmandu / Mar 19: Skipper of Nepali national cricket team Paras Khadka has been felicitated with a cash prize worth one hundred thousands at KATHMANDU YOUTH CONCLAVE (KYC) 2019 today. With this, he was conferred the title of Youth Icon 2019.

Paras Khadka was felicitated for his contribution in Nepali sports and for inspiring youths to believe that one can be in Nepal and succeed. The program was organized jointly by Universal College, New Summit College, Apollo International College, Kathmandu Model College and Himalayan College of Engineering. The program was held in association with Chaitanya Insititute of Management and promoted by National Youth Council.

The chief guest of the program, Hon’ble Yogesh Bhattarai, expressed that the future of Nepal is at the hands of the young talents. He added, “This program rightly confers the message to the today’s youths that it is their responsibility too to build the nation.” He recommended that youths should work towards carrying the Nepalese legacy of peace, cooperation and tolerance to stand out in the global arena.

The program featured remarks by successful persons in different fields to guide student careers. Captain of Nepali cricket Paras Khadka expressed on how sports can unite national feelings.

The program also featured remarks by Miss Nepal 2018 Shrinkhala Khatiwada on prosperity through tourism, IT Consultant to Prime Minister of Nepal Asgar Ali on future of ecommerce and IT, YouTuber Sisan Baniya on passion to profession, Director of Jyoti Group of Ccompanies and Chairman of Syakar Trading Company Saurabh Jyoti on the business environment in Nepal and Sandip Chhetri on standing out in the mass. Alongside, the program also featured musical performances by different colleges, food stalls, game zones and other performances. Approximately three thousand students benefitted from the program centered on leadership, management and industrial skills.
