Chand-close revolutionary students’ group at Tatopani to support clearing boder point

Netra Bikram ChandKathmandu / October 6: At a time when the Indian government is refusing to allow necessary goods to Nepal citing protest in the areas near Indian border a group of ANNISU (Revolutionary) close to Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN (Maoist) headed to open up Nepal-China border point at Tataopani.

As many as 100 student leaders and cadres of ANNISU (Revolutionary) headed towards Tatopani with home-made tools and equipments to clear the northern transit point.

The group would work to clear the road obstructed after the earthquake to ensure smooth transport service, said ANNISU (Revolutionary)’s general secretary Deependra Chalaune.

A group led by central secretariat member of the party organization Bharat Malla will work for seven days to open the Tatopani customs point.

India has been imposing undeclared blockade to Nepal since Nepal promulgated its historic new constitution from the Constituent Assembly. India is not happy after the country headed for its own federal states not as recommended by India. Some Tarai based political parties, which have been seen as the parties run by India, are also opposing the new constitution. The government is trying to open the border with China, which was blocked following massive earthquake of April this year and bring necessary goods from China. Chinese government has agreed to provide all necessary support to Nepal at the time of crisis.

Nepal faced this problem as Nepal’s over 60 percent trade (import) is being done from India. All political parties and the whole country has been united this time against the India’s interference in the internal affairs of the country. RSS
