PM, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers sworn in

Oli OathKathmandu / October 12: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has administered oath of office and secrecy to newly-elected Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli amid a special function at the Office of the President this afternoon.

Oli, who is also the CPN (UML) Chairman, was elected the Prime Minister from the voting in the Legislature-Parliament on Sunday.

Likewise, President Dr Yadav administered oath of office and secrecy to Deputy Prime Ministers Kamal Thapa and Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar in presence of newly-elected Prime Minister Oli.

Thapa is the chairman of RPP-Nepal while Gachchhadar is the chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik).

Similarly, President Dr Yadav administered oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed five ministers on the occasion.

Newly appointed ministers–Agni Kharel, Som Prasad Pandey and Satya Narayan Mandal from the CPN (UML), Haribol Gajurel from the UCPN (Maoist) and Ram Kumar Subba from the RPP-Nepal took the oath of office and secrecy.

Present on the occasion were Vice President Parmananda Jha, outgoing Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, Speaker Subas Nembang, Acting Chief Justice Girish Chandra Lal, former Prime Ministers, chiefs of the constitutional bodies, chief secretary, top leaders of different political parties, parliamentarians, chief of three security bodies and high-officials of the government and diplomats.
