273 People Benefit from Free Health Camp

Jumla / March 12 – A total of 273 people from Sinja Rural Municipality in the remote Jumla district benefited from a free health camp organized in the municipality on March 12.
The camp was organized by the local NGO Partnerships Aid Center Nepal (PACE Nepal) in collaboration with Sinja Rural Municipality and the District Health Office. It provided healthcare services to local residents, including poor and marginalized groups.
Free health check-ups were conducted for non-communicable diseases such as high blood pressure, kidney function disorders, diabetes, and gynecological issues.
The health camp not only provided essential medical services to those in need but also raised awareness about non-communicable diseases.
PACE Nepal, a leading organization in Jumla, has been actively working in the areas of education, climate change, and community empowerment to uplift the poor and marginalized communities in the district.
The district, which has the lowest Human Development Index, has a lower life expectancy compared to the national average due to a lack of awareness about health issues and inadequate healthcare facilities. Such camps help raise awareness about non-communicable diseases and provide necessary support to those in need.
