Chitwan / October 14: A Germany Scouts team has donated Rs 3 million for upgrading a hospital and constructing a building for a local school in Ratnanagar.

The team donated materials worth Rs 1 million to local Ratnanagar Hospital and donated Rs 2 million to build the school building at Kalikhola in Chitwan in a Chepang settlement, said one of the members of the 30-member team.

After completing construction of the school, the team is working to upgrade the hospital at present. The member said that they buy needed materials and carry out construction works themselves.

Another team member said that people in Germany have started helping the team financially after a local newspaper carried reports about their contribution in the villages in Nepal.

Meanwhile, a businessperson in has donated Rs 2 million for the construction of a Durga Bhagawati Temple in Tulsipur of Dang district.

Uttam Kumar Shrestha of Tulsipur Municipality-5 helped construct the temple in memory of his late parents Bishnudevi Shrestha and Bhuwaneshwor Shrestha by providing Rs 1.99 million.
