Police active to prevent petro supplies in passengers carrying vehicles

police logoBhimduttanagar / October 25: Fearing the possible outbreak of fire and other risks, the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, has increased its surveillance against supplies of the petroleum products in the passengers carrying vehicles.

Last week, seven people died after a fire broke out following the leakage of petroleum products carried by the passengers in gallons and LP gas after the bus met with an accident in Banke district.

Superintendent of Police Kishor Kumar Dahal said that supplies of the petroleum products keeping in gallons in the passengers carrying vehicles of the long route are prevented.

As the India’s blockade on Nepal continues, some people in Kanchanpur district were sending fuel to their relatives residing in Kathmandu after the fuel crisis worsened in the capital city.

The locals of Kanchanpur district visit the Indian markets in the bordering area to buy the petroleum products and then send to the capital city by storing in gallons. The government is trying to ease the supply of petroleum products by supplying necessary fuel from China. It is said that the first lot of petroleum product will arrive the country by Tuesday. RSS
