NOC writes letter to PetroChina for availability of price list

Nepal Oil CorporationKathmandu / November 3: State-owned Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) on Tuesday wrote a letter to the Chinese petroleum company – PetroChina Company Ltd to provide price list of the fuel products.

NOC Executive Director Gopal Bahadur Khadka sent the letter to PetroChina asking for availability of a price list for commercial transaction.

NOC is forwarding additional processes to import fuel from China in view of a proof that fuel can be successful supplied from Nepal’s northern neighbour, Khadka said. More Nepali tankers left for Kyirong to receive the grant fuel provided by the Chinese government. A total of 12 tankers headed towards Kyirong on Tuesday.

NOC received 1.3 million liters of fuel products in grant from China after severe shortage of fuel products due to the undeclared economic blockade imposed by Indian government at the southern belt crippled general movements across the country. The grant fuel is in course of being supplied to Nepal and are being stored at the Thankot depot.

A Nepali delegation led by Nepali Ambassador to China Mahesh Man Maskey a few days ago sealed a bilateral deal with PetroChina to import fuel from China. NOC has reached an agreement to import 33 percent of the total consumption from China. RSS
