Korean photographers to spread message Nepal is safe for tourists

Korean photographerKathmandu / November 3: In a bid to spread message that Nepal is still safe to visit even after the devastating April 25 earthquakes, a team of Korean photographers has arrived in Nepal for an eight-day trip.

The 40-member team, which is coming to Nepal at the invitation of a Nepal-based organisation, ‘Sukhawati Pratisthan’ and a trekking organisation, Friends Team Pvt. Ltd (FTPL), is scheduled to visit tourist destinations like Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Patan and Nagarkot among others.

The team will also visit tourist areas like Sarangkot of Kaski, Dhampus, Hemjakot, apart from some tourist destinations of Pokhara and Chitwan, officials of the FTPL said.

Rajendra Bahadur Lama, executive director of FTPL, said that the team will also make publicity about Nepal through photographs of the lifestyle of local people, their religion and culture.

“We invited the team of Korean photographers to spread the message that Nepal is safe to visit even after the quake and photographs are an effective means to make the campaign a success,” Lama said.

One of the team members said that Nepal is safe to visit as against the news they heard about the pathetic condition of Nepal after the quake.

“We will publish a magazine with photographs taken here in Nepal about the condition of Nepal. We will also spread message, through the media, friend circles, internet and various organisations in Korea, that Nepal is safe to visit,” the team member told journalists. RSS
