NRNs in UK support flood victims in Khotang

NRNA-image-300x225Khotang / November 22: Non-resident Nepalis in the UK have provided financial support to 59 floods and landslides affected families in the district.

The Khotang Sewa Samaj UK has donated Rs. 197,100 to 59 households of south VDC of the district. The support distribution was Rs. 15,000, Rs. 4,000 and Rs. 2500 to the families depending on the extent of damage they had to suffer, said local resident Dip Bahadur Thapa.

The support is expected to help the families to ease their daily life, said the Treasurer of the Samaj Prasad Rai.

In the landslides that took place three months ago, 25 households in Aduwabari, 15 in Tarebhir and five in Okharbote of Simpani-8 and seven families in Kattike of Simpani-7 were displaced.RSS
