Former national cricket coach Dassanayake leaving Nepal tomorrow

DasanayakeKathmandu / November 27: Former National Cricket Team (NCT) coach Pubudu Dassanayake is leaving Nepal on Saturday, following his resignation as Nepal coach earlier that saw an end to his successful four-year stint.

During his tenure, Dassanayake managed to carve out a name for himself as coach, guiding the country to its maiden ICC World Twenty20 appearance in 2014 and leaping to the ICC World Cricket League Championship—a premier one-day competition for non-test playing teams—from Division 4.

Appointed as NCT coach by the Cricket Association Nepal (CAN) on August 23, 2011, Dassanayake resigned earlier, citing personal reasons. RSS
