New govt not an alternative, Minister Gajurel says
Pokhara / December 13: Minister for Agricultural Development Haribol Gajurel has said that new government could not be an alternate to the incumbent government during the time of country’s severe crises.
At a meet the press programme organised by Revolutionary Journalist Association Kaski Chapter here this morning, Minister Gajurel said that people have wished an end to blockade, success of the talks between government and the agitating Tarai-based parties and regular supplies of fuel and daily commodities. People have not wished a change in the government leadership, he added.
Gajurel was of the view that country’s current problems would have been ended earlier if the Nepali Congress was a coalition partner in the government.
Minister Gajurel expressed the hope that ongoing blockade would end within some days and the supplies of fuel and other essentials would be regular adding that the Madhes-centric parties have become positive for this.
Saying that cronyism was a disease since Panchayat, Gajurel stated that this system still exists among all political parties even after the promulgation of the new constitution.
On the occasion, he shared that he raised voices at the party’s central committee meeting for taking actions to some leaders and ministers of the UCPN (Maoist) for the correction in the party. RSS
