Helpless Nepalis get foodstuffs in Saudi Arabia

SaudiSaudi Arabia / February 20: Some Nepalis migrant workers in Saudi Arabia, who are not getting their salaries and other basic supports from the company concerned for long, have been given foodstuffs for their sustenance on Friday.

Members of the Lumbini Prabasi Liaison Forum provided the foodstuffs to the helpless Nepalis migrant workers of Saad Sahami Al Haji Company based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

The Forum provided 160 kilogram of rice, 60 kilogram of pulse, 75 kilogram of flour, 20 kilogram of potatoes, 15 kilogram of onion, 18 litre of cooking oil and some quantity of vegetables.

Treasurer of the Forum, Top Bahadur Karki, said that the foodstuffs were provided as relief to help the needy Nepalis migrant workers.

As high as 300 Nepalis working in the company are left in high and dry situation for not getting their salaries for four months, it is said. RSS
