KMC demolishes 22 illegal structures on Bagmati river bank

Illegal infrastructureKathmandu / February 20: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Office today pulled down buildings and structures constructed illegally on the bank of Bagmati River at Sahayoginagar in Baneshwor.

As a part of the illegal structures demolition drive initiated by KMC and the Department of Roads, the total 22 physical structures including two college buildings owned by VS Niketan and Pentagon, a bihar and a restaurant were demolished today.

A dozer was used in the drive which was carried out in the presence of a large number of security personals.

While some protested the move, some others pleaded with the authority concerned to give them some more time so that they themselves demolish the structures erected illegally. RSS
