Japan’s assistance for improvement of living condition in Kavre

Japan LogoKathmandu / February 23: The Japanese government has extended financial assistance for the implementation of Improvement of Living Conditions project underway in Kharpachock VDC of Kavre.

As per a statement issued by the Japanese Embassy today, the grant assistant totalling around Rs 290.8 million will be provided to AMDA Multi-sectoral and Integrated Development Services (AMDA-MINDS) under the grant assistance for Japanese NGO projects scheme.

AMDA-MINDS is a Japan-based NGO, which will provide technical and financial support to the partner agency, SAGUN Nepal for implementation of the project.

The grant contract for the project will be signed and exchanged between Japanese Charges d’ Affaires, Shinya Machida and AMDA-MINDS Country Director, Chiho Matsumoto on February 24 at the Embassy of Japan, added the statement.

The two-year project which began in March 2015 under Japanese government’s assistance aims to improve the living conditions of the people of Kharpachok VDC, by focusing on livelihoods, water and health and hygiene. The grant assistance will be used for the second phase of the project. RSS
