Nepali migrant worker dies in Qatar

nrnQatar / April 11: A Nepali migrant worker who arrived in Qatar five years ago to earn money for making ends meet has died.

Dil Bahadur Gharti Magar, 28, of Beni Municipality – 13 in Myagdi died. He is survived by a wife, a son, a daughter, mother, father and three siblings. His body has been kept at the Hamad Hospital for the past one week.

Preparations are being made to return his body to Nepal, said Prem Rasaili, Coordinator at the Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Qatar Labour Department.

Mona Qatar Branch of the Myagdi residents’ association has appealed to the government through the Nepali Embassy for necessary relief including insurance money to Gharti’s bereaved family. RSS
