Baitadi / April 22: Locals of Shankerpur-9, Dhulidhar have constructed a building of a local clinic (named as Gaughar Clinic) with support from Shankarpur VDC.

The building of Gaughar Clinic was constructed to provide health services to the people from accessible area.

As existing health facilities are far from the village the initiative is taken in keeping with the convenience of the people, said In-charge of Shankarpur Health Post, Man Bahadur Madai.

“The building construction work was completed with the VDC’s funding support of Rs 50,000 and people’s mobilization”. Services related to family health, child health and safer motherhood will be provided to the needy from the Gaughar Clinic, he shared.

People of rural areas have been compelled to compromise their treatment as health facilities are not at accessible areas and health professionals are also concentrated in urban areas. People have to travel to long distances to urban areas even to get normal treatment. RSS
