Thinley of Caravan fame dies

ThinleyDunai (Dolpa) / March 24: Thinley Lendup Lama, the man who played the protagonist in the famous film Caravan died today after falling off a horse he was riding.

The 75-year-old Lama was riding home towards Saldang VDC from the district headquarters Dunai and died on the way between Chhepka and Ryachi after he fell down from the horse, police said.

Caravan, directed by French filmmaker Eric Valli, was nominated to the Oscars. The film was made in 1999. RSS
