Trishuli (Nuwakot) / April 25: The reconstruction campaign has been initiated from all three electoral constituencies in Nuwakot in commemoration of a year of the destructive earthquake on Sunday.

The private house construction campaign was announced from Ratmate of constituency no. 1, Kharanitar of constituency no. 2 and Charghare of constituency no 3 by signing house construction grants agreement.

According to the government data, as many as 72,000 earthquake-collapsed private houses in Nuwakot need to be reconstructed.

At a programme organized at Ratomate of constituency no. 1, parliamentarian and Nepali Congress leader Arjun Narsingh KC inaugurated the campaign by handing over a house construction grant agreement to earthquake survivor Thulo Krishna Lama of Ratmate VDC-1.

Leader KC said the relief distribution has seen complications since a family was divided into four following the earthquake. He urged all to shun selfish motives as such activities affect the genuine victim.

Chief District Officer of Nuwakot Bishnu Prasad Pokharel expressed his confidence that the government would speed up the rebuilding campaign from now onward though it was already delayed to provide grants for the construction of the earthquake-devastated houses.

Likewise, parliamentarian and NC central member Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat and parliamentarian Bahadur Singh Lama handed over the house construction grant agreement forms to the house owners at Sundaradevi of constituency no. 2 and Charghare of constituency no. 3, respectively. RSS
