President calls House session for May 3

President AuthenticationKathmandu / April 27: President Bidhya Devi Bhandari today called the second session of Legislature Parliament for 11am on May 3 on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

According to her Press Adviser Madhav Sharma, the PM made the recommendation today following a Cabinet decision. “The previous session was the first session after the Constituent Assembly was transformed to the Legislature Parliament following the promulgation of the new constitution.

The session called today will be the second or budget session. The previous session of the House was prorogued on February 17, 139 days after it commenced. As the government must table budget for the next fiscal on May 28, the Parliament will hold pre-budget discussions till then.

The government is also preparing to move ahead some bills in the session.
