International Karate Championship kicks off on May 19

Kathmandu / May 14: The second International Karate Championship will begin from coming Thursday, May 19. The Nepal Shito-Ryu Karate Do Association is organizing the championship and 820 players from six South Asian countries would participate in the championship.

As many as 400 players will participate from Nepal in the championship. Similarly, 350 from India, 25 from Sri-Lanka, 20 from Bangladesh, 15 from Pakistan and 10 from Bhutan will take part in the championship.

The three-day tournament would be organized at Lainchaur based Table Tennis Training Centre. Players would compete for 26 gold medals under different categories.

Earlier, Nepal had won the first championship. RSS
