Safe Migration mobile app released

Labor, Foreign EmploymentKathmandu / May 18: The ‘subhayatra’ (Happy Journey) application or app has been made public Wednesday. The app provides information about safe migration and secure foreign employment.

The app was jointly developed by the Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA), The Asia Foundation and Young Innovation. It was released jointly by Minister for Labour and Employment Dipak Bohara and NRNA Chairman Sesh Ghale.

The app that can be operated on an android mobile telephone set has complete information about the foreign employment. Information is provided in different forms as audio, video, Facebook link and the text.

The information as destination country, migrants’ rights, labour permit, dos and don’ts are featured in the app.

Most of such information is related to Qatar, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, the countries consuming highest number of Nepali migrant workers.

On the occasion, Minister Bohara said the app is believed to assist in solving the problems facing the foreign employment sector.

Similarly, NRNA Chairman Ghale said the app would be very useful to make the foreign employment safe and secure. RSS
