Nepal Police honours musician Amber Gurung

ambar-gurung-musician-singer-writerKathmandu / May 25: Veteran musician and composer of the national anthem Amber Gurung has been honoured for his contribution to music.

Inspector General of Police Upendra Kanta Aryal, on behalf of Nepal Police which honoured Gurung, handed out Rs 500,000 and a felicitation letter to Gurung at latter’s residency in Budhanilkantha in the Capital today. The meeting of Nepal Police on May 18 had decided to honour Gurung.

Gurung, 78, who was earlier treated at Medanta Hospital in New Delhi for his multiple diseases including diabetes and Parkinson’s, is taking rest at his home. RSS
