Suspension bridges benefit over 2,000 households in Myagdi

myagdi_districtMyagdi / July 9: Two suspension bridges have been constructed over Myagdi river at Beni Municipality-13 and Baranja VDC-2, in this fiscal year.

The cost of the 103-metre bridge constructed at Tatopani bazaar is Rs 3.741 million while Rs 3.737 million was spent to construct 87-metre bridge at Jaluke of Pakhere.

The bridges were constructed from grants and support of District Development Committee and Village Development Committees and voluntary labour of locals.

A total of 617 households would be benefited from the suspension bridge constructed at Tatopani bazaar while 1,511 families from the bridge constructed at Jaluke.

Chairman of the Tatopani Suspension Bridge Construction Committee, Birendraman Shakya, said that all wards except No.9 of Baranga VDC and locals of Beni Municipality-13 have been directly benefited after the construction of the bridges. RSS
