Sapkota picked as President of VTOF

Home StayKathmandu / July 31: Kamal Sapkota has been unanimously elected President of the Village Tourism Promotion Forum (VTOF) Nepal.

With this, the 20th General Meeting of the VTOF that concluded today also picked a new working committee for the next two years. Ram Ghale was elected first Vice President while Dipak Dahal as second Vice President.

Likewise, Basudev Pandey was named as General Secretary and Jaspha Pandey is Secretary. Also Gaganraj Neupane was picked as treasurer while Krishna Bahadur Bogati as joint treasurer.

Meanwhile speaking at the event, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ananda Prasad Pokharel said that a tourism strategy has been introduced to attract as many as 2.3 million tourists in the next 10 years.

Saying that the country rich in geographical diversity, social, cultural and biological has abundance potentials for tourism, he also viewed that promotion of rural tourism could take place if tourism is linked up with agriculture. RSS
