Chinese President Xi likely to visit Nepal in October

xi-jing-pingKathmandu / Aug. 09: The China Institute of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) has stated that the Chinese President Xi Jinping is likely to visit Nepal by October this year.

The visiting CICIR delegation today called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at his official residence at Baluwatar and shared information about this.

The delegation briefed the PM that the China was willing to establish the positive and sustainable relations with the incumbent government in Nepal.

In response to the CICIR delegates, PM Dahal hoped for welcoming Chinese President to the country very soon, adding that such a high–level visit would contribute to strengthen the bilateral ties.

He further said that Nepal was willing to make the Nepal-China bilateral ties reliable and long-lasting and to establish tri-lateral relations with its two close neighours, according to Dahal’s press aide Manohari Timilsina.

On the occasion, the visiting Chinese delegation led by Professor Ji Zhiye stated that China was willing to exchange its development experiences with Nepal, help expedite its post-quake rebuild efforts, assist large- scale development projects, increase the arrival of Chinese tourists in Nepal and join hands in the development of tourism infrastructure here.
