DEO extends grant to school

schoolGaushala / Aug 28: The District Education Office (DEO) has extended grant for construction of an eight roomed building to Laxmi Chandi Murarka Higher Secondary School, which is the oldest in Mahottari district.

District Education Officer, Thulo Babu Dahal, said the school was established in 2008 BS and was operating with dilapidated rooms and ramshackle building risking the lives of thousands of students. The DEO has handed over Rs 5.7 million in grant for construction of the building which will have eight rooms, according to Dahal.

The school currently has around 2,000 students, who are facing problems in studying due to crammed space and in view of this DEO issued Rs 5.7 million for construction of a building, School Management Committee Chairman, Binod Mandal said.

The School’s Principal, Sanjeev Kumar Jha, said the future of thousands of children would be secured and facilitate their studies once the building is constructed. RSS
