PM Dahal reaffirms commitment for economic prosperity

PrachandaKathmandu / Aug 28: A team of representatives from Nepal National Trade and Industries Association has submitted a 15-point memorandum to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The team meeting Prime Minister Dahal at the latter’s official residence on Sunday urged the government to enable the environment for an independent economy of the country.

The team led by Association’s Chairperson Shyam Pathak drew the attention of PM Dahal towards creating the environment conducive to the investment in productive and infrastructures sectors.

Also pressed by the team in memorandum are diversification of trade, promotion of homemade products, timely spending of capital expenditure and promotion of domestic industries and local entrepreneurs among others.

Receiving the memorandum, PM Dahal reiterated the government’s commitment towards overall economic development of the country and pledged to address the genuine demands put forth by entrepreneurs, according to Association’s Advisor Krishna Prasad Acharya.

“The government has got full shape, now I am mulling to expedite the pace of government,” stated PM Dahal as quoted by his aide Manahari Timilsina.

PM Dahal also called for cooperation from private sectors for attaining economic prosperity.

The Association, on the occasion, provided Rs 100,000 to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Rescue Fund. RSS
