NEA disconnects 3,000 power supply lines, raises Rs 62 million arrears

NEAKathmandu / Aug. 30: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has disconnected power supply to a total of 3,411 consumers across the country, reasoning the owners failed to pay tariff for long.

After the NEA emerged tough against the non-payers, Rs 62 million in arrears has been raised so far. The non-payer’s power supply was cut since August 19.

Even the government offices have been punished by the NEA. The government offices are yet to clear Rs 26 billion in arrears.
