NFC buying 3,000 Himalayan goats for Dashain

goatsKathmandu / Aug 31: Nepal Food Corporation (NFC) has decided to purchase 3,000 goats and Himalayan goats for the supply of meat in Kathmandu Valley for Dashain festival.

Information Officer at the NFC, Pawan Kumar Karki, said that the NFC would buy 1,500 goats and 1,500 Himalayan goats.

Karki said that 600 goats would be purchased through Lahan-based Zonal Office of the NFC, while 200 through Tulsipur-based Zonal Office, 150 through Nepalgunj-based Zonal Office and 550 through Birgunj branch office.

Similarly, the NFC would purchase 1,500 Himalayan goats from its Mustang branch office. It has allocated Rs 46.7 million to purchase the goats and Himalayan goats.

Karki further said that the goats would be brought to Kathmandu two days before the Ghatasthapana. The final price of goats would be determined after reducing transport cost. RSS
