Kathmandu / Oct 29: As many as 25 senior citizens who were over the age of 90 were feted in a programme organised by the CPN (UML) Kathmandu Metropolis-32, committee today.

The programme was organised by the party to exchange the festive greetings with a tea reception.

Former constituent assembly chair and CPN (UML) leader Subas Nembang feted them at the programme.

Leader Nembang, addressing the programme, said that the senior citizens allowance issued by the then Prime Minister and CPN (UML) leader Manmohan Adhikari was exemplary one to respect and provide social security to them.

On a different note, leader Nembang assured the impeachment motion forwarded against the CIAA chief Lokman Singh Karki would be passed by the parliament on a consensus among the political parties. RSS
