Date for 13th SAG declared

SAG LogoKathmandu / Dec 3: The Olympic Council has announced the date for the 13th South Asian Games (SAG).

The meeting of the Council held here today decided to organise the Games in Nepal from March 9-18, 2019. It was announced at the concluding function of the 12th SAG held in India this year that the 13th SAG would be held in Nepal.

The regional Games that take place every two years was delayed due to the internal reasons of Nepal.

Today’s meeting of the Council also decided to set up its head office in Kathmandu, President of Nepal Olympic Committee, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, said.

Shrestha shared that the meeting decided to include 20 games at the least and 25 games at the most in the 13th SAG.The next meeting of the Council will be held in Bhutan. RSS
