National Industrial Trade Fair set to kick off

Pokhara / Dec 7: All necessary preparations for the National Industrial Trade Fair to be held at Pokhara Exhibition Centre from December 8 to 19 have been completed.

Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) is organizing the event under the banner ‘Protect Investment, Continue Promoting Industrial Business’. The event will showcase 295 stalls including 75 with dome structure.

The Fair aims to promote and help in the marketing of all national industrial products including handicraft and agro products, information technology, education, health and tourism business.

The hotels and restaurants have announced special discount packages for internal and external tourists arriving in Pokhara to attend the trade fair, PCCI President, Bishwo Shankar Palikhe said at a press conference held on Tuesday.

The Fair will be embellished with fashion shows, Gayan Tara (singing competition), body building shows, wrestling and musical performances by Nepal’s famed bands along with comic dramas and children’s park.

PCCI will be awarding the winner and first runner-up of the singing competition Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively. PCCI President Palikhe said that they expect the trade to draw a profit of Rs 11 million.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, is scheduled to inaugurate the trade fair. RSS
