Organizations working on climate change awarded

DFID-UKAid-logoLalitpur / Dec 16: Some 15 organizations working in the area of climate change adaptation have received an award of Rs 20 million for their remarkable performance in the field.

The Ideas to Impact Programme implemented under the Adaptation at Scale Award Project with financial assistance of UKAid has handed the incentive award of 10,000 Pound Sterling each to the organizations for their best performance in the climate change adaptation sector.

The honoured organizations on the occasion were Community Development and Advocacy Forum Nepal, Youth Acting for Change Nepal, Manahari Development Institute, Apasi Sahayog Kendra, Practical Change. National Disaster Risk Reduction Centre and Centre for Rural Technology,

Likewise, Ithaka Institute for Climate Financing, Care Nepal, namsaling Community Development Centre, CEAPRED Nepal, Machhapuchhre Development Organization, Practical Action, ENSAB Nepal, Dalit Welfare Organization and Human Rights and Environment Concerns were also provided with the award amount.
