Asia Cup Cricket: Nepal lose to India by six wickets

Kathmandu / Dec 16: Nepal conceded a six-wicket defeat to India in the second match held on Friday under the ongoing ACC U-19 Asia Cup Cricket tournament in Sri Lanka.

The match was held at the Colombo Cricket Club playground. Nepal, who opted to bat first after winning the toss, made 172 runs, losing nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

India, on its part, made 174 runs in 33.3 overs at the loss of four wickets. Suvam Gill collected 57 runs, Himanshu Rana 51 runs and Priyam Rag 36 runs for India. Rahul Chahar took five wickets in bowling.

Nepali bowlers Pawan Sharraf took three wickets and skipper Sandip Lamichhane one wicket.

Earlier, Rohit Kumar Poudel made the highest 68 runs for Nepal. Dipendra Singh Airi made 34 runs, opener Ashif Shekh 18 runs, Prakash KC 13 runs and Lamichhane seven runs. RSS
