Minister Shahi assures NAC’s prompt services

NACKathmandu / Dec 25: Minister for Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeevan Bahadur Shahi has assured to make the Nepal Airlines Corporation services effective and prompt.

Speaking at a meeting of the International Relations and Labour Committee under the Legislature-Parliament here today, Minister Shahi shared that around five million people who are currently in foreign lands could be a big market for the NAC.

Speaking in the meeting of the committee lawmaker Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the parliamentary committee should be supportive to the development. He asked support from all to import aircrafts for the NAC.

Lawmaker Dr Rajan Bhattarai opined for effectively managing the NAC employees for prompt services.

Similarly, lawmakers Shyam Shrestha and Prem Suwal also stressed on the effective services of the airlines.

The corporation general manager Sugat Ratna Kanshakar said that there was no possibility of embezzlement while purchasing the aircrafts from Europe.

Similarly, Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Shanta Raj Subedi added that the Ministry was ready to manage the budget to purchase the aircrafts as the corporation had forwarded the process to purchase two aircrafts of around Rs 25 billion. RSS
