Blind Cricket World Cup T20 : Nepal defeated by Australia

Cricket groundKathmandu / Jan 31: Nepal lost to Australia in the first match of the 2nd Blind Cricket T20 World Cup in New Delhi, India.

Australia defeated Nepal by 10 wickets. Nepal had posted a victory target of 144 runs which Australia met in 12.4 overs without losing a single wicket.

Nepal had gathered 143 runs in the stipulated 20 overs where Sunil Subedi Chettri scored 34 runs, Kritan Shrestha Duwal 29, Ramesh Bahadur Baniya 18 and Sunil Thapa Magar 12. No other Nepali players could reach double figures.

In reply, Australian openers Mathew James Cameron scored 68 runs and Stephan Leo Palmer 48 respectively to seal a comprehensive win.

Nepal will face Bangladesh in its second match on Thursday. RSS
