NAB to construct safety residence for visually impaired women

blind-coupleKathmandu / March 10: Nepal Association of the Blind is going to construct safe shelter for visually impaired women at Danchhi of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality in the district.

The Association has purchased a land plot at a total cost of Rs 1.5 million for the purpose. The Association Director Nar Bahadur Limbu shared that they purchased seven ana of land utilizing its internal resources.

Lawmakers Deepak Prasad Kuinkel and Rameshwar Phuyal on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the same.

It is stated that the Association plans to construct such building for visually impaired males as well in the future.

As per the 2068 BS census, 95 thousand people are visually impaired and of them 38 per cent are women. RSS
