Prez awards outstanding students on National Education Day

MedalKathmandu / Sept. 8: President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Friday conferred various medals to outstanding students on the occasion of 38th National Education Day at Sheetal Niwas in Kathmandu.

In a statement today, issued by the President’s Office, President Bhandari awarded medals to outstanding students with both the national and international degrees.

As many as 215 students with various degrees from Nepal and abroad, were awarded with Nepal Bidhyabhushan Padak ‘A’ while 82 were given away Nepal Bidhyabhushan Padak, ‘B’ and 82 students were conferred on Nepal Bidhyabhushan Padak ‘C’.

Similarly, President Bhandari also awarded 23 female students with Nepal Chhatra Bidyapadak who topped in their Bachelor level studies.

The head-of-the-state also conferred Nepal Chhatra Bidyapadak to 3 outstanding students among females in Proficiency Certificate Level and other 351 persons were also honoured.

On the occasion, President Bidya Devi Bhandari also urged the outstanding achievers to utilse their knowledge, expertise for the development of the nation, according to President Office’s spokesperson Mohan Prasad Wagle.
