Yeti Airlines escapes accident at Bhairahawa airport

Yeti Airlines aircraft overshoots the runway of Bhairahawa AirpoKathmandu / Mar 18: An aircraft belonging to Yeti Airlines has narrowly escaped from an accident at Gautam Buddha Airport, Bhairahawa on Sunday.

The landing gear of the plane was locked at the runway while making land at the airport. The plane took flight from Kathmandu at 4.40 pm and was scheduled to land at Bhairahawa around 5:10 pm.

All 26 passengers and cabin crew are safe, informed SP Shyam Gyanwali, of the district. The other flights destined to the airport were affected due to the incident including a flight of Buddha Air which was held in the sky for about 35 minutes and was back to Kathmandu.
