Prime Minister visits Nepali mission in New York
New York / Sept 29: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli visited the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations here today.
On the occasion, Acting Chief of the Mission Nirmal Raj Kafley and other staffers apprised the Prime Minister of the day-to-day activities and functioning of the Mission.
Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali urged the staff members to work in a way to promote the image of the country in the international forum. He also urged them to share about Nepal’s peace process to the international community.
Prime Minister Oli was accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya.
Also present on the occasion were Prime Minister’s Chief Advisor Bishnu Rimal, Nepali Ambassador to the United States Arjun Karki, Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson at the Ministry Bharat Raj Poudel, Chief of Protocol Deepak Adhikari, and senior members of the Nepali delegation to the 73rd United Nations General Assembly.
PM Oli inspects Consulate General of Nepal in NY
Likewise, Prime Minister Oli also inspected the Consulate General of Nepal to the US in New York.
On the occasion, Acting Consul General Pushpa Raj Bhattarai and other staffers apprised the Prime Minister of the day-to-day activities and functioning of the consulate.
Likewise, Prime Minister’s Chief Advisor Bishnu Rimal said that problems and constraints shared by the staffers would be addressed.
The Consulate General also hosted a luncheon in honour of Prime Minister Oli and members of his entourage. PM Oli was accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya.
Similarly, present were Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali, Nepali Ambassador to the US Arjun Karki, Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, Joint Secretary Bharat Raj Poudel, Chief of Protocol Deepak Adhikari and senior members of the Nepali delegation.
PM Oli leaving for Costa Rica tomorrow
After attending the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to leave New York tomorrow for an official visit to the Republic of Costa Rica.
