CIAA files charge sheet against 25 ex-employees

CIAAKathmandu / Oct 26: Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed charge sheet against 25 former employees of Foreign Employment Department, Tahachal, Kathmandu, at the Special Court on Friday.

The CIAA filed charge sheet against them after they were found providing work permit to 184 women bearing fake documents. The women were going to Kuwait for jobs.

The case was filed against section officers—Hari Prasad Devkota, Deepak Kumar Acharya, Ganesh Bikram Shah, Dinesh Kumar Rai, Pabitra Shrestha and Ram Prasad Oli, according to the CIAA.

Similarly, CIAA filed charge sheet against nayab subbas– Amarraj Joshi, Bishnu Hari Niraula, Dil Bahadur Khatri, Hemnraj Pandey, Karna Bahadur Nepalu, Kedar Ghimire, madan Giri, Khagendra Pokhrel, Laxmidevi Bhusal, Nagendra Prasad Gautam, Rabindra Ghimire, Raghunath KC, Yogendra Khatri and Keshav Raj Dhungana.

Likewise, others to face the case are computer operators as Amar Mahara, Chakra Bahadur Parajuli, Damber Bahadur Bishwokarma, Dhanbir Singh Bhat and Raj Kumar Shahi as well as middlemen- Rajeev Kumar Panjiyar and Bikas Thapa.

The CIAA had conducted the investigation on work permit issued by the Department during the period of August 25 to October 25, 2017.

After Gorkarna Bista became the Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security the abovementioned employees were transferred to other offices citing their suspicious role. RSS
