Vaidya appointed as national program coordinator for Visit Nepal Year 2020

Nepal-Tourism-BoardKathmandu / Nov 2: Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) on Friday appointed entrepreneur Suraj Vaidya as the national program coordinator to observe the Visit Nepal Year 2020.

In a press statement, the ministry stated that Vaidya was appointed through the minister-level decision to coordinate and launch various programs and campaigns in order to bring 2 million foreign tourists to the country in the year of 2020.

Vaidya will work as the vice chairman of the program implementation committee for Visit Nepal Year 2020, the ministry said in the press statement.

Vaidya is a former president of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The ministry has already established a secretariat to launch campaigns for the Visit Nepal Year 2020.

A cabinet meeting held in August had decided to observe the Visit Nepal Year 2020.

To intensify preparations for the Visit Nepal Year 2020, the cabinet had formed the main organizing committee under the leadership of Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari.
