Graft case filed against former Nepal Oil Corporation chief Khadka

Gopal KhadkaKathmandu / Jan 7: Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against former Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) director Gopal Bahadur Khadka at the Special Court today.

In the charge sheet, CIAA has accused Khadka of amassing illegal property worth more than Rs 180.66 million during his tenure at the NOC helm.

In a press statement released today, CIAA has demanded the Special Court to confiscate Rs 70 million appropriated by Khakda to his acquaintances. “Property worth Rs 80.64 million out of Rs 270.375 million is legal.”

CIAA has said that Khadka has invested Rs 110.61 million in real estate business.

Spokesperson of the CIAA Rameswar Dangal said that Khadka has been charged of amassing property by abusing his authority while he served as the head of the NOC and in other government agencies.
