HoR endorses three bills

Nepal ParliamentKathmandu / Jan 13: The meeting of the House of Representatives today passed three bills unanimously.

HoR passed bills on Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) First Amendment Bill 2075, Retirement Fund Bill 2075 and Payment and Clearance Bill 2075.

Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet presented the CITES First Amendment Bill while Finance Minister Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada the Provident Fund Bill, and Payment and Clearance Bill.

Earlier, Minister Basnet shared that the CITES First Amendment Bill was brought to make more systematic the international trade in endangered wild lives. Lawmakers Prem Suwal, Mohan Baniya, Chhakka Bahadur Lama and Sanjay Gautam took part in the discussion on the bill.

Finance Minister Dr Khatiwada also made clear why two other bills were brought.

Similarly, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Bhanubhakta Dhakal presented a proposal at the meeting seeking consideration on the Bill on Amendment of Some Nepal Acts 2075 to make these in line with the constitution. His proposal was unanimously passed by the meeting.

The next meeting of the HoR is scheduled for January 18. RSS
