Govt focused on exploring agricultural potentiality: Agriculture Minister Khanal

Chakrapani Khanal BaldevMahottari / Jan 28: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Chakrapani Khanal today has said the federal government has focused on development projects and exploring agricultural potentiality.

“The government is at organised work to increase production through agricultural modernisation. No lands remain barren onwards. Farmers’ efforts are needed in this regard,” he said at a programme organised in Mahottari.

Minister Khanal was conducting a field inspection as part of a feasibility study to establish a wholesale agriculture bazaar and agriculture promotion centre at Krishnapur of Bardibas Municipality-6.

The government has announced to set up a wholesale agriculture bazaar each in all seven provinces. And work like the selection of potential places for the project and the making of a detailed project report have started, he said.

On the occasion, the locals complained with the minister that they lacked irrigation, and availability of seeds and fertilisers on time. In response, he assured them of managing these facilities. RSS
