PM congratulates Nepali Cricket Team; says won’t tolerate elements acting against peace process

PM Oli NewKathmandu / Jan 29: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has congratulated the Nepali National Cricket Team for winning One-Day International series.

PM Oli, in the congratulatory message on twitter this morning, said that the achievement made by Nepali team has shown that Nepal has been rising as the emerging power in world sport sector.

He also expressed commitment that the government would pay further attention in the development of sport sector.

“Congratulations to the Nepali National Cricket Team for becoming victorious in One-Day International Cricket Series. The success achieved in the international cricket has shown Nepal as the emerging power in the world sport arena. I assure that the government will pay further attention in development of sport sector.”

Nepal has created history by winning its maiden One-Day International (ODI) Cricket Series on Monday.

Won’t tolerate elements acting against peace process, says PM

In another event, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged one and all not to disrupt peace process saying that it is near to conclusion.

Speaking at a program organized on the 18th Police Day at the Armed Police Force (APF) headquarters in Halchowk in the capital on Tuesday, Prime Minister Oli appealed to one and all not to disrupt the peace process as it is at the final phase.

“We have come to the final stage of the peace process after having experienced the ordeal of a decade-long Maoist insurgency. It would be unwise to backpedal the peace process, inciting conflicts again,” said Prime Minister Oli, adding, “We should discourage such elements acting against the nation.”

Oli further said that the government is rendering efforts to establish good governance and prosperity by wiping out corruption. Stability and peace are necessary to achieve these goals. “The security forces have a great role to establish peace, said Oli.
