Finnish ambassador hands over water supply project to Gorkha locals

Drinking waterGorkha / Jan 30: A water supply project constructed in cooperation with United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has been handed over to the locals of Rangrung in Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality-2 of Gorkha district.

Finnish Ambassador to Nepal, Pertti Anttinen, on Tuesday, handed over the project to the local water users’ committee.

The project was constructed at a cost of Rs 815,000 with support from UNICEF, president of the water users’ committee, Ram Bahadur Gurung, said.

The locals have been benefitted with the water supply project constructed to address the shortage of water in the aftermath of April 25 Gorkha earthquake. It was built in partnership with Shree Swara Saghan Village Development Centre, Gorkha. RSS
