Lawmakers draw government’s attention on host of issues

Nepal ParliamentKathmandu / Feb 08: Lawmakers have drawn the attention of the government on contemporary issues in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, the lower house of the Federal Parliament.

Speaking in the ‘zero hour’ of the meeting, lawmakers urged the government to address the public issues that are bothering the people. Lawmaker Bimala Nepali urged the government to manage land plots to the landless Dalit people.

Similarly, lawmaker Mahesh Basnet said that various rivers in the Kathmandu valley including Bagmati River were witnessing more garbage due to the piled up plastics in various places.

Likewise, lawmaker Mahesh Jung Gahatraj urged the government to maintain security as insecurity was prevailing in Banke district lately.

Lawmaker Mina Subba drew the attention of the government on Nepali women who reached in New Delhi in course of foreign employment and were held captive.

Rangamati Shahi drew the attention of the shortage of food grains in Humla district.

Likewise, lawmakers Yagya Bahadur Bogati, Yashoda Subedi, Rajendra KC, Ram Bahadur Bista also urged the government to control corruption and black marketing. RSS
