Condolence ceremony postponed for tomorrow morning’
Kathmandu / Feb 28: The postmortem for those killed in chopper crash including Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari is underway at TU Teaching Hospital.
The condolence ceremony set for today to pay tribute to crash victims has been postponed.
It has been postponed for 8 am tomorrow since the process is taking a long time than expected. According to medical person involved in the postmortem, it is taking around one to one and a half hours to carry out postmortem for a body.
Earlier, it was planned to hold the ceremony later in the day.
Seven people including Tourism Minister Rabindrae Adhikari died in a chopper crash that occurred near Pathibhara area in Taplejung district when it was flying bakc to Kathmandu on Wednesday afternoon.
Yeti and Tara cancel all flights for tomorrow to mourn MD Sherpa’s demise
Calling it a day to pay tributes to the departed soul of Ang Tshiring Sherpa, Managing Director of Yeti and Tara Airlines, both aviation service providers have decided to cancel all flights scheduled for tomorrow.
“We, the Yeti Airlines and Tara Air family, are shocked and crestfallen by the untimely demise of one of Nepal’s pioneer aviation entrepreneur and Managing Director Aang Tshiring Sherpa,” the companies said, “In his memory and to pay our tributes we are issuing this circular to all the passengers that our flights scheduled for March 1, 2019, have been cancelled.”
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and are grateful for your support in this sad hour,” the companies said in a joint statement.
